Based at Wynnum, the dojo practices not only Aikido but also jodo and iaido. connection to Aikikai is made directly through regular visits to Japan. Kolb Sensei regularly has international teachers visit and often makes the invitation open to the wider Aikido community.

Based at Newstead, this permanently matted dojo has been around for a long time, it is currently an independent aikikai school. The dojo has a reputation of producing and attracting strong Aikido students and running yudansha focused seminars.
